ATLANTA (August 31, 2026)—Team members assigned to Fulton County Superior Court's Family Division and the Alternative Dispute Resolution unit are still raving about their recent office retreat. Workers came together August 19 under the theme The Power of Teamwork. The goal was to build bridges through collaboration and break down structural silos that could interfere with our mission of serving the citizens of Fulton County.
There were more than 5,800 cases filed in the Family Division in 2025. The division is comprised of four Superior Court judges with jurisdiction over divorce, separation, annulment, custody, visitation, child support, contempt, modification, paternity, adoption, termination of parental rights, and domestic violence.
In 2025, Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) saw a 15 percent jump in mediations compared to the year before. More than half the cases it mediates result in settlement. ADR provides parties with the opportunity to resolve disputes through mediation rather than litigation. Our goal is to promote fairness, efficiency, and respect while helping you resolve your matter.
Employees left the retreat with practical tools to guide them in providing excellent service to stakeholders.
