ATLANTA (September 21, 2026)—A group of prosecutors, a judge, and a law professor visiting from Central and South America recently toured Fulton County Superior Court. They were here to get a firsthand look at the inner workings of the American legal system. The lawyers began their visit with a Q&A with Chief Judge Ural Glanville. Next, they observed live criminal court proceedings before Judge Emily K. Richardson.
Their visit was made possible through a program by the Georgia Council for International Visitors. The goal was to engage in a true exchange of ideas and learn best legal practices for use in their respective countries. They received instruction on the operations of federal, state, and local judicial systems. In addition, they received training on the First Amendment and freedom of speech, legal education, and the use of AI.
